Report from Survey #2

The plan's second public survey, which asked detailed questions about priorities for housing, parks, Downtown, transportation, and community priorities, is now closed.

We received very high levels of participation with a
total of 840 participants, with 488 completing the entire questionnaire - these would be excellent results anywhere, but are especially notable in a community of 5,500 people!

Work on the new plan has started!
We're glad to announce that work on the City's Comprehensive Plan has begun! A Request for Proposal process has been completed and a consultant has been selected and hired.

Twin Cities firm Community Design Group (CDG), with subconsultants Moxie Urban Consulting and Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) will work closely with residents and City Staff to develop the plan.

The Consultant Team will work with the newly-assembled Project Steering Committee (PSC) and City Staff to develop an initial inventory of existing assets and issues, engage residents in providing guidance to the plan, and prepare recommendations for improving the future of the City.

Please visit this page often to access the latest news and participate in the Plan's development!
